As we have mentioned in most of the last few newsletters, the limited time offer to upgrade to Windows 10 for free has now ended. Friday was the last day to take advantage of this. This is exactly one year since Windows 10 was made generally available to the public.
Therefore, anyone wanting to upgrade their machine to Windows 10 will have to pay to receive this update. Microsoft have announced that the price for a Home upgrade will be £99. A Pro upgrade will be £130.
The price for the full versions (which were not part of the original offer) are £100 for the Home version, and £190 for the Pro version. These are the versions one installs when there's not already a version of Windows 7 or 8 installed on the machine.
Meanwhile, a big update to Windows 10 will begin to roll out to users from tomorrow. With these two events out of the way, we might even blog about something else next month!
