Microsoft have now made free versions of Word, Excel and Powerpoint available to install on Android devices. While these have been available for Apple devices for some time, this marks the first time these venerable applications have made an appearance on Android (by far the more widely-installed operating system).
As well as being able to save your documents remotely on Microsoft's OneDrive, it will also allow connections to other cloud-based services such as Google Drive and Dropbox. Additionally, if you are also an Office 365 user, you will get additional features.
To be able to download and install these apps, you'll need a device running Android 4.4 (Kitkat) or later. You can grab it, as usual, from the Google Play store.
