Microsoft has announced that the newest version of their Windows operating system, "Windows 10", will be released to the public this summer.
As we previously reported, in a first for Microsoft's flagship product, the forthcoming version of Windows is going to be available for free (with a few exceptions) to all users of Windows 7 and 8 for a year.
In related news, Microsoft have just provided their first preview of "Project Spartan". This is a brand new internet browser which will, in time, replace their Internet Explorer browser. Microsoft will be hoping that this new browser will be free of the negative associations that have been attached to Internet Explorer over the years, and will help them to again claim the "number 1 browser" crown, which is currently firmly in the hands of Google's "Chrome".
